Jewellery

Hello again. It's been a while since I last posted, which is exactly what I didn't want to happen. But now my exams are out of the way, as they have been for more than a month, I will hopefully be blogging on a regular basis! Since finishing school, a lot has been happening, well at least I think so. I've been looking at sixth forms, I had my leaver's dinner, where I got completely crunk and did some pretty embarrassing things, and other things which I will go on to explain in a different post.

First things first, you are probably wondering what the photos in this post are for. Basically, a few months ago my mum was given hundreds of vintage onyx pendants, bracelets, brooches, earrings and rings to sell. These are genuine vintage Italian pieces from the 70's.
Above is a taster of some of the pendants that are for sale, and there are more styles available.

The pendants come in different sizes, and are in gold or silver tone metal.

The stones vary in colour from pendant to pendant as onyx is a natural stone.

These pieces are very affordable at £5 each + £2.50 UK postage (outside UK will be more).

I have put an Asos badge in the right hand collumn which will take you to my Asos Marketplace gallery/account where the jewellery will be sold.

Celebrations

Wow! It's been a while since I last did a post. Really enjoyed all of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations that have sadly been and gone. It made me feel proud to be British, with all the Union Jack flags getting absolutely soaked along with a majority of the nation in the quintessentially British rain. On the whole, it was rather jolly, even though I found myself wearing two coats and a jumper in the process. Unfortunately, I doubt I will be able to look any of my neighbors in the eye again, as they had to witness my interpretation of a jive. In the future, I'll be leaving it to the professionals, who found my mum's free-styling...interesting. I think watching too many Ginger Rogers films influenced her. I'll leave you to imagine. Hope everyone had a lovely Diamond Jubilee in whatever weather! Here are some photos I took of the day!

It's Almost The End

It's almost the end of my Easter holiday and I thought I'd share a couple of photos that I took the other day.

Not My Kind Of Spring

Whilst I'm taking a short break from my revision, I thought I'd update on what has been going on in the past few weeks. At the moment I'm on my Easter holidays, and I'm lucky enough to have three weeks off, but not to enjoy myself, but revise for my exams which begin in about three weeks. While I've been procrastinating over the last couple of weeks, I've taken to doing my nails and trying some nail art.
baby blue and grey spots

natural pink beige
nude pink and mint green

Apart from revising and painting my nails, I've been doing other things such as seeing friends and watching too much tv. On Tuesday, my mum,my sister and I went to an outlet village called Bicester Village, which was so much fun! I seriously recommend going there as they have Prada, Missoni, Gucci, Celine,Vivienne Westwood, Rupert Sanderson and more. They also have high-street shops like All Saints and French Connection. We immediately started shopping when we arrived, but it took me all day to find something that I actually wanted to buy. I picked up the prettiest sheer shirt/blouse in my favourite shop, Burberry. Hopefully when the weather gets better I will put it in an outfit post, as I'm going to try and start doing outfit of the days when my exams are over and I'm not stuck at home all the time. Then after spending at least half an hour deciding, I bought a pair of classic Ray Ban aviator sunglasses. There are so many amazing deals there, so it is worth the journey trust me!

Blondie

Just a quick update while I'm not too busy! Today I had my hair done. Half of my hair has been ginger/blonde for a while, as I'm letting my roots grow out, and I wanted it a proper blonde, but not too brassy! And that is what I got!

Non Merci

Valentines Day..it's never been a good one for me. Its like i have 'no thanks' stamped across my forehead. Let's just say the guys I know aren't 'mature' enough for a girl like myself anyway . That's a nice way of putting it, they're all dorks! Anyway this year was a slightly better VD as I spent it with one of my best friends and yes, she too is a singleton! We spent a lovely afternoon walking round Covent Garden, chatting about the BAFTAs and which actors we'd be happy to marry. A girl can dream. We had crepes in Créme de la Crêpe. I had a white chocolate and strawberry one, it was divine to say the least.
I'm currently getting ready for my GCSE's in May, and I'm stressing out like crazy. I have so much work to do whilst I'm on half term, and to be honest a week is not enough! So today I was sitting there, getting myself in a right mess, trying to tackle various essays that have to be done by Monday. I could have ripped my hair out, I was in such a state! But then I saw a notebook that I'd been given for my birthday just sitting there, untouched. I opened it and there was something about it that I liked, I think it was the type of paper? Anyway, I decided to just write down everything that was in my head..and to my surprise, it's made me feel a lot better. I have tried numerous times before to try and maintain a diary, and all of those time I have failed within the first few days. But i like the idea of having a journal/diary, and I am determined to stick at it this time!

Hair Envy

Okay, so I suppose you've noticed that I've changed the name and look of my blog. I'm not sure what is was about 'Dancing Under Daisy Chains' it just wasn't working for me, it almost seemed a bit silly? But anyway, I really love the new blog name, I like the way it sounds..*puts on best French accent* "AVEC AMOUR". Enough about my blog name! On with the post!

Basically, to cut long story short,(hehe, excuse the pun!)I haven't had my hair cut in two and a half years. Yes, I know what you're thinking, and you're probably right! The ends are incredibly dry and i have more split ends than there are stars in the sky, which isn't actually that many at the moment due to this god awful weather, but anyway, you get my drift!

So tonight I'm getting my hair cut, but only a trim because I always regret doing anything too drastic such as getting it cut so short that I couldn't tie it up, and not as in a short bob to my chin but as in, boy hair cut kinda thing..So naturally, as I now have long hair after like 4 years of growing it, i wasn't planning on cutting it all off anytime soon!

However, I was on twitter and I came across Jaymie O'Callaghan. I saw she had a blog, so I immediately clicked on it. And apart from being an incredible artist, she has gorgeous hair too! And did I mention that she makes jewellery as well?! She has inspired me to just chop all my long hair off and and get bob. Her hair reminds me a lot of Alexa Chung's.

But even though I know I would probably regret it, my hair is just in such bad condition. It has no volume whatsoever...typing out all it's bad points just makes me want to cut it even more! Oh, what to do! I may just have to get a couple of inches of and not go the whole way, as you can probably tell I'm a bit of a wimp.

Someone else's hair that I have always admired is Fearne Cotton's. Even when some people weren't too sure about the colour or cut, I have always really loved it, and even more so now as she has pink hair too! I also adore her style, I love it how she mixes styles that just shouldn't be mixed and somehow it works, along with Alexa Chung too.

I apologise for the lack of blogging, but I've been far too busy stuffing my face with Quality Street whilst watching Great Expectations(Douglas Booth, I want you), Treasure Island(Toby Regbo, I want you even more) and Downton Abbey(I can't say Cousin Matthew is on my list..sorry).

Omggggg yesterday I dip-dyed my hair pink! I think it looks pretty rad! Hah can't believe I just said rad but hey-ho! Still not feeling Christmasy at all :( sad times, however I did get £5 in my advent calendar this morning so I guess it's not all bad!

Breakfast at Tiffanys

On Friday I went ice-skating with my two best friends at SKATE at Somerset House which was also involved with Tiffanys. It was brilliant and after a wobbly start on the ice, I was soon off, skating around the rink by myself. However I have a feeling I became quite a burden to my friends after almost pulling them down with me when I fell, holding onto them, probably crippling them, as I held their hands so tight while I adjusted to the ice. Plus, there was a DJ which made it even more fun! AND, in the middle of the ice-rink, a man proposed to his girlfriend! It was adorable! There was also a beautiful Christmas tree! Only a week until Christmas! I'm so excited!!

Did a bit of crimbo shopping until my debit card got declined for having no money on it! Ooops! What made it even more embarrassing is that I was in Harrods when it happened! Haul/Birthday Stuff

Black boots from french brand Reqins
Baby pink and lilac bracelets

Echt Kolnisch Wasser perfume

Fan di Fendi perfume
Angora jumper from H&M
Barry M red glitter nail polish £2.99
Sorry for the picture heavy post, it's about to get a bit heavier. The other day I went shopping with my sister to High Street Kensington. I was looking to buy something in Urban Outfitters as my she gets 25% off everything! I found an amazing burgundy coloured cropped jumper with leather patches on the elbow, which I was in love with and was intending to buy, but when I tried it on, it was so itchy! I have incredibly sensitive skin and I didn't want it to give me rashes, so unfortunately I had to put it back. So, after leaving without anything, I went into H&M and had a browse, and I saw this black, super soft jumper slung over a random clothes rail. I picked up anyway and carried on looking. OH MY GOD! I'm so glad I did! It is the softest, warmest, most amazing jumper I have ever bought!!! It was £35 but worth every penny, plus I couldn't find where it came from. It's a size 12 so it's nice and big on me. After an amazing find in H&M, we went for a bite to eat in Pret. On the way into the station, we decided to pop into the humongous Boots! Best decision, as I picked up this amazing Barry M red glittery nail polish. It beautiful and the photo does NOT do it justice, I love it!
Taupe AMBUSH boots Topshop - £75
Today I went to return a maxi-skirt from   Anthropologie that I bought last week. It was a beautiful plum colour, but unfortunately it went with nothing in my wardrobe so I took it back. After that I shot along to Topshop as fast as I could to get my hands on a pair of taupe coloured AMBUSH boots. I AM IN LOVE...I wore them as soon as I got home. They are rubbing the side of my foot but that is to be expected as I only bought them a couple of hours before, hopefully they will give a bit. I didn't want to get the black ones as everyone has them and I thought they would also be nice to wear in spring and summer too. To be honest, I have never been so happy to hand over 75 quid, I practically threw the money at the poor man standing behind the till! That's all for now though, sorry about the long post. Have a lovely weekend. Won't be posting next week as I'm on a school trip , hiking in the lake district..8 hours on a bloody coach...help me..

I've had my eye on a couple of things for a while so hopefully I can get my hands on them! Expect a haul, well at least I'm hoping to buy something!!

Lucky Number 7

No7 Perfect Lips Pencil in 10 Blush
Okay, Im sorry about all this blogging today but Im kinda in the mood! As you know Im not a fan of make-up, but im getting into lipsticks at the moment. I popped into Boots a couple of days ago with my sister, as I needed a few bits and pieces. I also had a £5 No7 voucher in my purse that Boots had given me on a previous purchase. Normally I bin any 'vouchers' they give me at the till because they always have a little catch like '£10 off! when you spend £50..', but I looked properly at this voucher a few times to check that I wasn't dreaming. They were actually giving me £5 off any No7 product!! I have always associated this particular brand with old people, probably because I had only ever seen my granny using it! Anyway, so my sister and I checked out the No7 stand and it wasn't too bad. I was originally going to get a plum coloured lipstick, but instead I got a lip liner in a lovely pink/red shade called 'Blush'.

Birthday Blues...

It was my birthday a week ago, if you hadn't read the previous posts, and I'm feeling rather down about it. Do you ever find that something always goes wrong on your birthday? Or perhaps, you're in a bad mood? Any other day things would go smoothly, but not on ya birthday. I woke up in a dreadful mood on mine, and my poor best friends had to witness it. They even got photographic evidence HA!
beautiful if I do say so myself
Nothing seemed to be going right! It was boiling outside which was exactly what I didn't want! I wanted to wrap up in my winter coat and scarf, but instead I walked up to my mum's shop sweating like a pig! I think it happens to everyone on their birthday, you get all excited counting down the days and then BAM it's here and you're in a crap mood. But anyway, I had an amazing birthday when I snapped out of my awful mood!
My next post will hopefully be a video of the things I got. I made it the other day but i looked horrible and I was in my pj's and I was basically rambling for most of the video, a bit like i am now!

OOPS

Okay, basically I didn't post about ma birthday on Sunday because I had a bit too much of the old champers on Saturday evening and I had the worst headache in the morning! If only there was video evidence of what I was like after 2 glasses of champagne, you'd all be falling off your chairs, well that is according to my older sister who found it hilarious! Maybe I will just make a video of what I got instead? It would probably be much easier. BUT, just to let you know, I sound like a boy on video.
HA, me and my dog chillin, although he may not show it, he loves me really!
